Shelter Studios is Minneapolis’s leading rental house for commercial photography and video production. We rent Profoto lighting, Aputure LEDs, Canon cameras, and grip vans, along with everything needed for studio or location shoots. Our drive-in studios, , and expert support make us a trusted resource for productions of every scale. Beyond gear, we connect clients with local crew, digitechs, stylists, producers, and location scouts—helping out-of-town and local teams alike create their best work.
Space
At over 14,500 sf, Shelter is one of Mpls’ largest rental studios. We have the flexibility of 6 open concept studios which can be rented individually or in multiples for expansive productions. Some of our amenities include drive in capabilities, a 16×24′ daylight window, truck high docks, a scene shop, 2 full prep kitchens, a coffee bar, plus a grip package with every studio rental.
Gear
Our extensive rental inventory covers all of your equipment needs. We have the largest selection of Aputure, Profoto, Canon, Inovativ, and Apple gear, all under one roof. Our equipment is reliable, well taken care of, clean, and maintained on a weekly basis. Need a grip van? We’ve got you covered there as well.
Delivery
Need gear on location? We offer the convenience of fast, delivery and pick up for all of our rentals within the 494, 694 loop. Need delivery farther than that or after operating hours? No worries, we can still help you out. Message us for specific rates.
