Q: What do I need in order to rent from Shelter?
A: Renting from Shelter is easy. All we need are the following forms.
- Credit Card Authorization Form
- Signed Rental Agreement
- Valid Drivers License
- Certificate of Insurance
Q: How do equipment pick ups and returns happen.
A: Rental orders can be picked up at the studio in person or by courier service, we also offer free delivery within a 30 mile radius of the twin cities on all orders of $100 or more.
Q: When do I pay.
A: Payment is due at the time of rental drop off unless otherwise arranged. Open accounts are based on a net 30 day billing cycle and we will gladly direct bills to your Client, or Producer.
Q: When does the rental duration begin and end?
A: For equipment, the rental duration begins as soon as the items leave Shelter Studios and ends as it is returned.
A: For studios, rentals are based on a 10 hour day, from 8am to 6pm.
Q: Does Shelter accept Debit Cards for rental security?
A: Yes, we accept Debit Cards as rental security combined with a certificate of insurance.
Q: Does Shelter accept all major credit cards for payment?
A: Yes, we accept all major credit cards; any amount charged over $500 will be assessed at a 3.5% fee.
Q: Does Shelter do mail orders?
A: Yes, we can ship equipment anywhere you need it. Please contact us for more details.
Q: What is Shelter’s policy on painting the cove wall?
A: If your production requires a fresh coat of white or any other color, painting is available by request at a rate of $25/hour, plus the cost of paint & supplies. Please note that if any color other than white is needed, the party will also be charged the same rate to return the cove wall to white.
